“EnajstoOkno, Kranj 2024” Philatelic Exhibition

The eleventh edition of this now traditional specialised exhibition, featuring international participants, goes under the name EnajstoOkno (literally: eleventh window) and takes place in the Gorenjska Museum in Kranj from Thursday, 29 August to Saturday, 7 September. Previous editions of the exhibition in Kranj have taken place in odd-numbered years; last year we decided to postpone EnajstoOkno by a year in order to make way for the international Multilaterale exhibition.

The exhibition in Kranj was one of the first in Europe to begin popularising one-frame exhibits (the first in the series, EnoOkno, took place in 2003). In the years since then, this competitive class has established itself and expanded to allow the option of presenting a single narrow theme in two or three frames.

Alongside domestic exhibitors, we expect to welcome traditional exhibitors from neighbouring countries (the regional groups Alps-Adriatic Philately, Balkanfila, Multilaterale), while invitations are also extended to all members of the Federation of European Philatelic Associations (FEPA). EnajstoOkno is organised in a modern way that allows remote exhibitors to participate (either additionally or exclusively) in virtual form, while all local exhibits must be physically exhibited in the exhibition space. The virtual exhibition can be viewed by visitors to the exhibition on a big screen and will also be available on the website of the Slovenian Philatelic Association until the end of 2024.

One important aspect of the exhibition is the high quality of the judging and the provision of feedback and advice to exhibitors. Judging will be carried out by judges accredited by the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP) and FEPA.
